Musings on Greenwood

September 11th memorial coverage has been on all day.

There is very little I can add that is new or original.

Until the day I die, I will never forget that day and I wasn’t even in New York City or anywhere near the Pentagon. I can’t imagine what the people who were up close to it are going through right now.

Our thoughts and support are with them on this day.

I’ve seen a lot of people post Jon Stewart’s reaction to 9-11 on various social media websites. It was indeed a moving tribute by a great entertainer.

However, I think Howard Stern’s live coverage on his radio show takes the cake.

Regardless of what you think of the man, Stern is where he is today because he actually has no mental filter. What’s on his mind is on his lips.

As a result, his coverage of the 9-11 attacks is so brutally honest and blunt when compared to the professional journalists who covered the tragedy that infamous day a decade ago.

I’ve attached part one of his coverage. There are are four more parts on Youtube. Give them a listen.

This will take you back. Stern and his co-hosts make some very politically incorrect statements but if you’re entirely honest with yourself, you were probably thinking or saying the same thing that day.

Enjoy the clip!
