This Patrick Muttart-Iraq-Ignatieff mess up is beyond weird. It’s also completely typical of the Harper entourage, at least, what’s left of it.
How many have been tossed from the campaign since it started? I think they’re becoming endangered species.
Watching Pierre Peladeau tear the Conservatives apart is borderline existential. The Tories then dismiss Muttart but deny he did anything wrong…
Yeah, my point exactly.
So, the Tories are once again off message in the last few days of the election as they try to salvage something out of the train wreck that is their campaign.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Harper is not a brilliant strategist. In fact, he’s down right awful. If he was such a genius, he would have secured a majority years ago.
Instead, he’s fighting to defend his minority government from the NDP.
This election has done nothing but prove everything I’ve ever said about Harper and his inner circle.
They just aren’t that bright.
Muttart is the latest example. The dossier of Harper quotes is another.
Anyways, the Habs are back on the TV and I’m going to enjoy this third period. Cheers!
