Musings on Greenwood

creationism

I will do a blog post about today’s electoral stumpings but this is too good not to post.

Ray Comfort is a joke. This guy is a poster boy for creationist ignorance and stupidity.

What I’ve posted is a debate between Comfort and Matt Dillahunty and Russell Glasser from the show “The Atheist Experience” out of Austin, Texas.

This is the most epic ownage I’ve ever seen on YouTube or any other broadcast medium. Comfort is exposed repeatedly as an ignoramus, a hypocrite and a liar.

Creationism would be laughable if it didn’t have dire consequences. Science, not religion, dragged humanity out of the stone age. The scientific method, not prayer, cured polio, put a man on the moon, tripled life expectancy over the past 100 years and created every modern amenity that makes life endurable.

Bill Maher once joked that people who don’t believe in Evolution should be forced to pray away their illness rather than go to a hospital. After all, how can you accept the benefits of science (which relies heavily on evolutionary theory) yet reject another part for no reason other than a presupposed belief?

Creationists inhibit the progress of mankind. Their beliefs are not benign. Watch this debate and come to your own conclusions.
