For today, I wish to address the Second Annual International Draw Muhammad Day.
This yearly event calls upon people to draw the so-called Prophet of Islam and to display the image wherever you can find a venue.
It’s a show of solidarity with the Danish Cartoonists who printed satire of Muhammad back in 2005 and have faced death threats ever since.
This isn’t about hating Islam. It’s about free speech. People are free to pray to whichever invisible space daddy they choose but we are free to mock them for doing so.
I’ve attached at the top of this post a video made by the YouTube sensation Thunderfoot on this very subject. He says it best.
Here’s to all the free speech warriors out there. Let freedom ring.
